My Journey

I've been creating art in some form or fashion for as long as I can remember. In 2010, I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts. Similar to writer's block, I seem to have suffered from artist's block in that I knew what I wanted to draw/paint, but fear of how it would be received stayed my hand from creation. Certain subjects have always filled me with reverence, but I was unsure of my audience or an appropriate place to showcase my work.

I have always felt a deep appreciation for the male form. While I was not born to inhabit one on my own, I have begun the process of transitioning. During this ongoing mission, one component will perhaps always elude me: the penis. It may seem strange to see beauty in an often vilified piece of flesh, but perhaps its absence is what made it remarkable.

It is a polarizing subject, but one that I am clearly passionate about. When I'm not working or drawing, I can often be found moderating communities centered on body positivity for the less endowed or atypical presenting. To me, it is not just flesh and blood, but the psyche and well-being.
